Abstract: Optogenetically-activatable palmitoylation-regulating fusion proteins of the present invention can reversibly regulate the palmitoylation-depalmitoylation cycle of target proteins present in lipid raft sites and non-lipid raft sites of cell membranes through irradiation of light, thereby being harmless to cells and subjects and exhibiting excellent diagnostic, preventive and therapeutic effects for diseases associated with palmitoylation.</summary>
