Abstract: The present invention relates to use of a composition comprising Banhasasim-tang as an active ingredient for the treatment, amelioration or prevention of Alzheimer's disease caused by ApoE4 genetic variation. The composition comprising Banhasasim-tang as an active ingredient and a treatment method, according to the present invention, exhibit excellent effects of reducing amyloid beta protein and inhibiting the precipitation thereof in a manner specific to Alzheimer's disease caused by ApoE4 genetic variation, and thus are greatly used as a preventive, ameliorating or therapeutic composition specific to Alzheimer's disease caused by ApoE4 genetic variation.</description>

Abstract: An ANKS1A-A355D protein variant is found in Alzheimer's disease patients, and unlike a normal ANKS1A protein, is unable to induce the cell membrane expression of an LRP1 receptor, and thus is unable to efficiently remove toxic proteins such as an amyloid beta peptide. Therefore, provided is a method for providing early diagnosis information on the onset of Alzheimer's disease by confirming the expression level of an ANKS1A-A355D protein variant or detecting the presence or absence of a gene encoding the ANKS1A-A355D protein variant. Also, provided is a composition comprising an agent for detecting an ANKS1A-A355D protein variant or a polynucleotide encoding same.</description>

Abstract: The invention relates to a composition for treating, improving or preventing Alzheimer's disease caused by ApoE4 gene mutation. The composition comprises pinellia ternate heart-fire purging decoction as an active ingredient. The composition containing the pinellia ternate heart-fire purging decoction as an active ingredient and the treatment method show excellent effects of reducing beta amyloid protein (which is specific to Alzheimer's disease caused by ApoE4 gene mutation) and inhibiting deposition of the beta amyloid protein; thus, the composition has high applicability as a specific composition for preventing, ameliorating or treating Alzheimer's disease caused by ApoE4 gene mutation.</description>

Abstract: The present invention relates to an Alzheimer-resistant human pluripotent stem cell model having an ApoE Christchurch mutation inserted thereinto and a construction method therefor and, more specifically, to an Alzheimer-resistant human induced pluripotent stem cell model and brain cell/brain organoid into which an ApoE Christchurch mutation is inserted using a CRISPR/Cas9 system, and a construction method therefor. According to the present invention, Alzheimer-resistant human induced pluripotent stem cells and a brain cell/brain organoid are constructed by inserting an ApoE Christchurch mutation into human induced pluripotent stem cells with the aid of a CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technique and as such, can surmount the limitations observed in preexisting animal models, such as protein expression patterns different from those in human cells, etc. The Alzheimer-resistant cell model of the present invention can find advantageous applications in research into ApoE-associated Alzheimer pathogenesis, etc.</description>
