- Abstract
- This paper introduces Secure Boot implementation that can encrypt and verify the boot area and vehicle application using encryption function. In this paper, HSM(Hardware Security Module) and hash function provided by MCU(Micro Controller Unit) are used for encryption of vehicle software and boot area. Using these features, the car software and boot area are encrypted and stored in flash memory. At the beginning of booting, we designed logic to check the integrity of the boot area and car software to verify the stability of the vehicle software.
