Abstract
This paper proposes a low complexity high accuracy heartbeat parameter estimator for noncontact vital radar. Vital radar with high accuracy Doppler frequency is important to measure the heartbeat and respiration for human body. However, many problems need to be solved in order to obtain high accuracy for vital FMCW radar. Especially, because of high complexity of high accuracy algorithm such as MUSIC (Multiple SIgnal Classification), high accuracy algorithm cannot be applied to vital radar. Therefore, in this paper, the proposed algorithm based on a signal etection is analyzed to accomplish the Doppler spectral estimation to obtain the high accuracy. From experimental results, when two targets are 2.9m and 5.4m, spectively, the position of the proposed method is obtained accurately.
