Abstract
This paper presents the real-time implementation of multiple-input and multiple-output(MIMO) FMCW radar signal processing algorithms based on multicore DSP for an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). MIMO radar has been improved by paralleling the implementation of the algorithm on TMS320C6678. We focus on a high-performance eight-core DSP and describe how to implement the MIMO radar algorithm effectively. We assume sixty receiving arrays, and we generate the simulation signal of the MIMO radar for the angle, range, and velocity of a single target. The experimental results show that the real-time implementation capability of the algorithm is improved and compared to a computer simulation that the radar performance requirements are met.
