We report arch and hollow nanocarbons with high nitrogen content and appreciable surface area that are highly capable of adsorbing CO2 (4.23 mmol g-1), are selective (CO2/N2: ∼13%) and have high facile regeneration properties (98%) under ambient conditions, respectively. © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2014.
