In this paper, we consider a freshness-aware cache-enabled unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) cellular network, where both the UAV and base station (BS) can provide services to the user equipment (UE), and we utilize broadcast transmission to reduce the backhaul and transmission load of the UAV- included link. Specifically, a UE is associated based on the content-centric association policy, and the caching strategy is determined by the most popular contents (MPC). To analyze the average data freshness, we derive the age of information (AoI) violation probability using stochastic geometry. Finally, we show the benefit of using cache-enabled UAVs with broadcast transmission for the AoI violation probability. Additionally, we analyze the impact of network parameters on the AoI violation probability. The simulation results show that there exists an optimal UAVs altitude, cache size, and BS bandwidth ratio to improve the AoI. © 2023 IEEE.
