dc.description.abstract This paper proposes the design of a hybrid beamformer and the optimization of reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) location in a satellite networks. To maximize the downlink data rate, we optimize the hybrid beamforming vector for given RIS location and find the optimal RIS location. We demonstrate that the performance of hybrid beamforming is almost comparable to the ideal fully digital beamforming, and we also find the optimal RIS location. © 2024 IEEE. -
