dc.description.abstract The present invention relates to a control system and method for a biomimetic modular artificial muscle, wherein a shape-memory alloy wire-based artificial muscle module is driven with chemical force, and all operating components are integrated into a single module and can be controlled by a microcontroller general-purpose input/output pin signal. By operating a shape-memory alloy wire having a size of several centimeters by using a catalytic combustion-type operation method, the limitations of existing driving methods using a large amount of electrical energy and high current can be overcome. -
