The Moon group leverages synthetic inorganic chemistry to investigate new concepts in structure, bonding, reactivity, and catalysis. Research in the Moon group aims to develop conceptually new main group compounds, understand the functional role of main group elements in catalysis, and discover new transformations catalyzed by main group compounds. We expect to provide new approaches to addressing energy/environment-related issues and challenges in synthetic chemistry using main group elements.
