본 발명은 통제된 신축성을 가진 구조를 제조하는 방법에 대한 것이다. 본 방법은, 제1 형상을 가지는 지지체 상에 엘라스토머를 코팅하는 단계, 지지체 상에 코팅된 엘라스토머가 늘어나도록 지지체를 제2 형상으로 변형하는 단계, 지지체의 형상에 따라 제2 형상을 가지게 된 엘라스토머 상에 변형 제한 막(strain-limiting film)을 코팅하는 단계 및 엘라스토머로부터 지지체를 제거하는 단계를 포함한다.
