Abstract
The present invention provides an orthopedic support structure and a manufacturing method therefor, the structure comprising: a plate fixed to a bone of the human body; a first layer formed to have hydrophilic property through oxidation and etching of the surface of the plate; and a second layer comprising a coating agent and a sustained-release substance, which are applied to the surface of the first layer; Additionally, in the present invention, the first and second layers formed to have at least two of very superhydrophobic, lubricious, porous, viscoelastic and hydrophilic properties are used to inhibit the attachment, growth, survival and biofilm formation of various bacteria on the surface of the plate and have a chemical role of slowly releasing specific chemical substances, so that the attachment of bacteria to biological tissues adjacent to a metal plate is inhibited and, simultaneously, infection or biofilm formation caused by bacteria during treatment of a patient is prevented, and thus treatment effects can be maximized.
