dc.description.abstract Recent research has increasingly focused on delivering drug-carrying magnetic particles to diseased areas using electromagnetic actuation (EMA) systems. Particularly, in these systems, creating a field-free point (FFP) and using it to steer magnetic particles in the desired direction has attracted significant attention. However, most previous studies use closed-type EMA systems, which, due to their structural characteristics, are difficult to integrate into actual surgical environments and to operate in conjunction with external imaging systems like X- ray. This study addresses these limitations by using an open-type EMA system, which is better suited for surgical integration. However, an open-type EMA system faces issues such as a significant decrease in magnetic force and an anisotropic magnetic field as the distance from the coils increases in the region of interest (ROI). To overcome these challenges, we optimized the open-type EMA system and proposed a suitable FFP generation method. Furthermore, we presented a targeting algorithm for steering a magnetic particle in blood vessels using anisotropic FFP. This proposed open-type EMA system and the control strategy using FFP were validated through phantom experiments and in-vivo experiments, proving the viability of magnetic particle targeting.|최근 전자기 구동 (EMA) 시스템에 의해 발생되는 자기장에 의해 자성체를 담지한 약물 입자를 병변으로 전달하는 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있으며, 특히 전자기 구동 시스템에서 field-free point (FFP)를 생성하고 이를 이용한 약물 입자를 원하는 방향으로 조향하는 방법이 주목을 받고 있다. 그러나 기존의 연구들은 폐쇄형 전자기 구동(EMA) 시스템을 주로 사용하여 그 구조적인 특징으로 인해 실제 수술 환경에 통합하기 어렵고, X-ray 와 같은 외부 이미징 시스템과의 병행하여 사용하는 것이 어렵다는 문제점이 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 한계를 극복하고 수술 환경에 통합성을 개선하기 위해 개방형 EMA 시스템을 고려하였다. 한편, 개방형 EMA 시스템은 region of interest (ROI)에서 코일들로부터 거리 증가에 자기력 감소와 비등방성 자기장과 같은 문제를 심각하게 가지게 된다. 이러한 문제들을 개선하기 위해, 우리는 개방형 EMA 시스템을 최적화하고, 수정된 FFP 생성 방법을 제안했으며, 비등방성 FFP 를 활용한 자성 입자를 혈관 내에서 조향하는 제어 전략을 제안하였다. 제안된 개방형 EMA 시스템과 FFP 를 이용한 자성입자의 제어전략은 다중 물리 시뮬레이션과 phantom 실험, 동물실험을 통해 검증되었다. 결론적으로 개방형 EMA 시스템에서 FFP 를 이용한 자성입자 조향이 가능함을 입증하였다. -
