다양한 영상 데이터를 융합하여 강건하게 장애물체를 검출할 수 있는 방법 및 장치로서, 다수의 카메라에 의해 도로와 장애물체를 포함하는 영상을 촬영하여 다수의 영상 데이터를 획득하고, 상기 영상 데이터를 융합하여 장애물체를 검출한다. 시차맵 기반 검출 단계와 상기 단일영상 특징 기반 검출 단계를 통해 검출된 장애물체 영역과, 광류 기반 검출 단계에서 검출된 움직임 검출 영역을 결합함으로써, 최종적인 장애물체 영역을 검출한다.
