- 본 발명은 객체 검출 및 추적 방법과 장치를 개시한다. 객체 검출 및 추적 방법은 스테레오 카메라로부터 입력된 좌영상의 외양 모델을 이용하여 객체를 검출하고, 객체의 거리 및 위치를 검출하는 단계; 상기 객체의 위치 및 상기 외양 모델의 유사도에 따라 상기 객체를 기존 추적과 연결하는 단계; 상기 객체 거리를 이용하여 상기 스테레오 카메라로부터 입력된 우영상 내에 후보 시차 구간을 설정하는 단계; 상기 후보 시차 구간에 포함된 상기 객체의 특징점을 추출하여, 기술자 유사도에 따라 상기 특징점을 정합하는 단계; 및 상기 정합된 특징점의 시차에 따른 부화소 시차를 추출하여 상기 객체와의 거리를 결정하는 단계를 포함한다.
