Abstract
The assembly quality of a small optical probe is important to achieve its high performance. A external monitoring system for accurate assembly has a difficulty in keeping the optical resolution. Moreover, the resolution of optical imaging system is measured after complete establishment of the system. It is not easy to estimate whether the resolution has been optimized at that time. To solve these issues, the resolution should be monitored while assembling the optical probe. In this study, an assembly system which can measure the axial resolution while aligning lens unit and scanning unit of probe was developed. It showed that the axial resolution is improved from 22 μm to 17 μm.
