Abstract
This paper proposes a low power frequency modulated continuous wave radar algorithm for surveillance applications. The proposed algorithm detects the existence of the target and performs the signal processing algorithm of the subsequent process only when the target exists. In order to determine the presence or absence of a target, the proposed algorithm performs an fast Fourier transform on only two pairs of eat signals among all received signals, and then compares the difference to determine the presence of a clutter and a new target. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm detects the target information well even at low power consumption.
