dc.description.abstract In this paper, we introduce self-paced treadmill to measure the step count. The proposed treadmill has simple force plate to calculate ZMP (zero moment point) using four single-axis force sensors mounted onto the plate. To determine the step count during walking, we observe the trace of ZMP as mentioned of the experiment result. Even though the algorithm for determination of step count, it shows higher than 99% accuracy during walking. -
