Distributed AI LAb @ DGIST EECS
Distributed AI Lab is a research lab in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science & Technology (DGIST) in South Korea. We investigate how multiple data owners (e.g., hospitals, financial institutions, mobile users) can jointly train machine learning models while (1) enabling efficient and scalable training, (2) keeping their individual datasets private from the other parties, (3) enabling generalisation across heterogeneous systems/users, and (4) providing robustness against malicious behaviour of adversarial users, and (5) mitigating data scarcity and statistical drift.
