단말 장치 및 제어 방법이 개시된다. 상호 간에 비콘 데이터를 송수신하는 단말 장치의 제어 방법은 기 설정된 주파수에 따라 전송 비콘 데이터를 외부 단말 장치로 송신하는 단계, 외부 단말 장치로부터 수신 비콘 데이터를 수신하는 단계, 비콘 데이터 수신 간격(BIRT)을 기 설정된 값과 비교하는 단계, 비콘 데이터 수신 간격이 기 설정된 값보다 큰 경우, 기 설정된 주파수를 감소시키는 단계 및 감소된 주파수에 따라 전송 비콘 데이터를 송신하는 단계를 포함한다.
